The 1st National Electrical Energy  Conversion Congress will be held in Elazığ on 21-22 September 2017 with the organization and support of the Turkish Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) and is hosted by Fırat University. Congress aims at bringing together academicians on Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Power Systems and Smart Grids and specialist and researchers studying in the sector companies. The fact that the year 2017 coincided with the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the engineering education in Elazıg and the presence of a large number of faculty members on the issues of Congress in the university where important factors forholding this congress at Fırat University.

During the congress, participants from relevant universities, public and private organizations will have the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the region and to increase the social solidarity among colleagues through social activities and trips to Elazığ, Harput, Keban, Sivrice Hazar Lake and Kemaliye, as well as sharing their studies, exchanging their professional information and discussing the problems.


It is targeted that the National Electrical Energy  Conversion Congress , which will take place for the first time this year, will be held every two years in different cities of Turkey and will be hosted by local universities and will be sported by EMO.
